I enjoyed a pleasant afternoon and evening at work colleague Helen and Nevilles property at Baranduda, as well as a quick birdwatching expedition to Chiltern to try to spot some Banded lapwings.

We needed Nevilles long lens and extender to see the Lapwings in the middle of a paddock.

Hi Steve,

What a pity the Indonesion heron (can't remember it's proper name, but saw it on the news the other night) waited until you had left Darwin before it had migrated there. I hope a girl one finds its way there soon, or it will be very lonely.

Cheers
